GEM (Union) is at once more faithful to the original arrangement and yet more radically different. It transforms the mechanical drive of GEM (Process) and the dark frenzy of GEM (Division) into a playful testament to optimism. An airy lead delicately soars over a frenzied bed of percussion and bass until they all take a deep breath upon realizing that it's over; that the harried and painful run through (Process) and (Division) was navigated successfully and can finally relax. After having gone through so much, GEM closes with a gentle healing harmony, at peace with itself at last.
